Universal Flow Monitors’ CoolPoint Flow/Temperature Series vortex-shedding flowmeters are designed for measuring and monitoring both flow and temperature in processing water, water with chemicals added, water/glycol coolant and corrosive fluids. Theflowmeters are equipped with both a 4-20mA flowrate transmitter and 4-20mA temperature transmitter and are designed for cooling applications involving heat removal. The flowmeters are capable of efficiently measuring the flowrate of fluids, with the temperature transmitter providing added capability for monitoring temperature readings and transmitting them to a process controller. Flowmeters are available with brass flow bodies for water and coolant and stainless steel flow bodies for corrosive fluids and water with chemicals added. Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) sensors and Viton fluoroelastomer seals are standard. Models are available in ¾”, one-inch, 1.5-inch, and two-inch pipe sizes, with maximum flowrates ranging from four gallons per minute (15 liters per minute) to 200 GPM (750 LPM). The flowmeters provide temperature readouts ranging from 32 degrees F to 210 degrees F (2 degrees C to 99 degrees C).Temperatures can be expressed in either Fahrenheit or Celsius on the local LED readout.
