Nidec Pump MotorNidec Motor Corporation has added two new products to the U.S. MOTORS brand family of TITAN vertical pump motors for the pumping industry—the 5812 and 5813 Frame Vertical motors. The pump motors are manufactured using a cast iron frame instead of a fabricated frame. Options for the 5812 and 5813 pump motors include an inverter duty feature with insulated bearings and shaft grounding provisions. Bearing and winding temperature detectors are also available. Both frame sizes are built to customer specifications and requirements. The 5813 includes WPI and WPII (weather protected) enclosures and ranges from 250 hp to 1750 hp. The pump motor is available as either hollow shaft or solid shaft in both low and medium voltages. In addition, the 5813 frame features oil-lubricated bearings with high and extra-high thrust capacity. Normal- and medium-thrust motors use grease-lubricated bearings. The pump motor is offered in both standard and premium efficiencies. The 5812 frame is built with a totally enclosed fan cooled (TEFC) enclosure for use in applications in the mining, oil & gas, and other severe-duty industries. It is available in speed ranges from 400 RPM to 1800 RPM and from power ranges from 200 hp to 1250 hp. The 5812 can be manufactured to meet American Petroleum Institute (API) 610 standards. –
