Fluid Components International”s ST100 Series thermal mass flowmeter combines flow sensing performance with feature-rich and function-rich electronics for plant gas flow measurement applications. The meter is designed to continuously measure, display and transmit a variety of parameters. The meter supports conventional 4-20 mA analog, frequency/pulse, alarm relays or advanced digital bus communications such as HART, Foundation Fieldbus, Profibus or Modbus. Should a plant’s needs change over time or an upgrade is needed, a plug-in card replacement can be changed out by plant technicians in the field. The meter’s LCD display/readout is a multivariable, backlit LCD display that provides continuous display of all process measurements and alarm status, as well as the ability to interrogate for service diagnostics. The meter stores up to five unique calibration groups to accommodate varying flow ranges, differing mixtures of the same gas, and multiple gases. Turndown is up to 1000-to-1. An optional, patent-pending SpectraCal Gas Equivalency calibration method lets users select and switch between 10 common gases. Also standard is an on-board data logger based on a removable 2-GB micro-SD memory card capable of storing 21 million readings. The meter is designed for rugged industrial process and plant applications, including service up to 850 F (454 C). Both integral and remote (up to 1000 feet [300 meters]) electronics versions are the available.
