The Pipe Line Development Company (PLIDCO), a supplier of products for pipeline repair and maintenance, announced it has achieved ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 certification.

To achieve ISO 9001:2008 certification, PLIDCO had to meet the latest international ISO requirements for a quality management system. Certification requirements include:

  • Consistently provide product that meets customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Effective application of the system, including processes for continual improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

PLIDCO has been ISO 9001:2000 certified since 2000, and recently achieved the latest ISO 9001:2008 certification. This was done by demonstrating its ability at effective planning, operation and control of its processes and the implementation and continual improvement of the effectiveness of its quality management system.

ISO 14001:2004 certification is a process that enables an organization to develop, implement, maintain and improve an environmental management system.

To achieve ISO 14001:2004 certification, PLIDCO had to demonstrate conformity with ISO 14001:2004 by having its environmental management system certified and registered through an accredited certification organization.

PLIDCO’s principal product categories are leak-enclosure fittings, connector fittings, hot-tapping/line-plugging products, and custom-designed fittings. The products have been designed for pressures up to 10,000 psi and temperatures from -250 F to 900 F. The company maintains an inventory of standard products in API pipe sizes, 1.5 inches through 48 inches, for pressures up to 2000 PSI.
