Parker Instrumentation (www.parker.com/instrumentation/) launched a Web site dedicated to a technology for interfacing differential-pressure transmitters to process piping. The site highlights a close-coupled instrument mounting system, or CCIMS, which eliminates all the impulse-line tubing, valve, and manifold components conventionally required to attach instruments to an orifice plate. According to Parker, the system provides gains in installation speed and measurement performance and a reduction in potential leak paths.

Educational resources on the site include an animated demonstration and video of the mounting system and a calculator, providing the means for instrument and piping engineers to quickly understand the technology and interactively determine how much time and money could be saved for a particular application.
