OFS Consortium Names New Board Members

June 3, 2005 — OFS Portal (www.ofs-portal.com), an e-commerce consortium of upstream oil and gas suppliers, held elections to fill three expired board positions during the organization’s annual meeting.


June 3, 2005 — OFS Portal (www.ofs-portal.com), an e-commerce consortium of upstream oil and gas suppliers, held elections to fill three expired board positions during the organization’s annual meeting. Alvaro Escorcia, Paul Krueger, and Steve Sidney were each selected to serve two-year terms on the company’s Board of Managers.

Escorcia has over 25 years of experience in the upstream oil and gas sector, having served in various operational, technical, and business development management positions with Halliburton Energy Services (www.halliburton.com), both in the United States and globally. Most recently he was named regional innovation and marketing manager for Halliburton Energy Services’ Latin American region.

Krueger is vice president and chief information officer of Vetco International (www.vetco.com). Prior to joining Vetco in 1997, Krueger held information systems management positions for AlliedSignal and TRW.

As the director for e-business and knowledge management at Baker Hughes (www.bakerhughes.com), Sidney is responsible for the development of the company’s e-business strategy. He has 24 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and has held a variety of technical and management positions at Baker Hughes and, previously, with British Petroleum (BP).

Headquartered in Houston, OFS Portal is a member-based group designed to facilitate e-commerce processes in the oilfield. OFS Portal works with global standards organizations to converge or develop open and nonproprietary e-commerce data standards for use in the upstream oil and gas industry.
