NSF International has developed a program designed to help manufacturers of water treatment, distribution, and plumbing products market and sell their products on a global scale.

The offering, called NSF Passport Program: Your Access to Global Market Approvals, aims to manage the approval process, helping companies navigate the regulatory, testing and certification requirements in each country to gain entry into new international markets.

The program is designed to help companies achieve product certifications required in more than 25 global markets, such as the United Kingdom, Australia, Brazil, China, Italy, France, Japan, and others.

According to NSF, the program helps companies manage multiple country approval projects from the initial application to final approval.

“This service is completely unique to the water industry,” said Pierre Sbabo, vice president of NSF International Water Programs, in a prepared statement. “Manufacturers of water treatment, distribution and plumbing products must meet multiple rigid and complex regulatory requirements to sell and compete in major markets, and these requirements can vary between countries and certification types.

?“The NSF Passport Program helps manufacturers access all top and key emerging markets for water products. Importantly, customers are able to work with a local NSF International project manager, in their local language and time zone, through NSF’s global network of offices,” said Sbabo.
