KROHNE to highlight pipeline leak detection solutions at IPC

(Beverly, MA — KROHNE Release) — KROHNE, a manufacturer and supplier of solutions in industrial process instrumentation, recently announced that it will showcase its PipePatrol Leak Detection Software and comprehensive Health Check pipeline leak detection audit program at the IPC International Pipeline Conference, on Sept. 26-30 at the Telus Convention Centre in Calgary, Canada at Booth #921.

PipePatrol is a system for pipeline leak detection and localization in pipelines. It is the most sensitive internal leak detection system (LDS) available, providing accurate leak information for a high degree of safety. PipePatrol combines the Real Time Transient Model (RTTM) with a patented Leak pattern recognition module to create an extended real time transient model (E-RTTM). Its multi-method leak detection enables pipeline management under both steady and transient pipeline conditions. This way, the LDS can reliably distinguish between real leaks and imbalance deviations caused by linefill changes or separation units.

The PipePatrol Health Check is a comprehensive and customizable audit of the pipeline leak detection techniques and management approaches to check all areas of leak detection on an operator‘s pipeline or pipeline network with the goal of ensuring that all the required areas of leak detection are functioning properly. It is the most extensive audit program available, covering the physical state of the system, performance of the system, compliance with standards and regulations including API, 49 CFR 195, CSA Z662 and TRFL, and fundamental aspects such as the readiness of an organization to deal with an emergency.

Visitors to Booth #921 can also see the KROHNE SUMMIT 8800 Flow Computer for custody transfer measurement, as well as OPTISONIC and ALTOSONIC ultrasonic flowmeters and OPTIMASS Coriolis mass flowmeters.
