Chester J. Mroz, a veteran of the process automation industry, will serve as the next president and CEO of Yokogawa Corporation of America.

Yokogawa Electric Corporation named Chester J. Mroz to the post of President and CEO of Yokogawa Corporation of America. In this position, Mr. Mroz will be responsible for overseeing all Yokogawa business operations in North America.

Mr. Mroz’s professional career includes engineering, managerial, consulting, and senior executive positions with automation, electrical suppliers, and systems integrators. Early in his career, Mr. Mroz was worked for an owner-operated company linked to Mobil Oil Corporation. In recent years Mr. Mroz has been a strategy consultant and acquisition advisor to small and large firms in the measurement, industrial automation, process equipment, and engineering construction businesses serving the energy and manufacturing markets. Prior to consulting, Mr. Mroz held key positions at Foxboro, Texas Instruments, and ABB Automation Group Ltd., where he was the President of ABB’s petroleum, chemical and consumer industries business area based in Zurich, Switzerland. At ABB he was responsible for the development of worldwide business strategy and results for ABB”s business in the chemical, hydrocarbon processing and oil & gas industries.

Mr. Mroz earned a bachelor”s degree in Electrical Engineering from Cleveland State University, and has attended advanced university programs for finance, management and process technologies. He is a senior member of the International Society of Automation (ISA) and serves as a director of Analytical Spectral Devices, Inc. of Boulder, Colorado.

Mr. Mroz will work out of Yokogawa Corporation of America’s headquarters in Houston, Texas.
