Warren Rupp Inc. Celebrates its Golden Anniversary

Warren Rupp Inc., a manufacturer of air-operated double diaphragm pumps, is celebrating 50 years. Founded in Mansfield, Ohio in 1965 by Warren E. Rupp and Charles E. Young, Jr., the company established itself with the vision of designing, building and marketing “new and different pumps.” Warren Rupp developed the industry’s first heavy-duty ball and flap pumps. With brands such as the SANDPIPER and Versa-Matic, the company’s success was recognized in 2011 when it was named IDEX Corporation’s Business Unit of the Year. Warren Rupp Inc. has also received IndustryWeek Magazine’s Best Plant Award in 2012 for its operational excellence, winning strategies, motivated workforce and continuous improvement.

McCrometer Celebrates 60th Anniversary at OTC 2015

McCrometer will host special activities marking its 60th anniversary at Booth 5520 at OTC 2015, 1-3 p.m., May 5. “We are grateful to our oil/gas customers, associates and suppliers who have helped McCrometer achieve this milestone anniversary,” said President Melissa Aquino.  “In looking to the future, we will continue delivering the flowmeter quality, service and value that have resulted in a winning partnership with our customers all over the world.”

Fortis Energy Services Named Finalist for Oil & Gas Awards

Fortis Energy Services has been named a finalist for Excellence in the Corporate Social Responsibility category and a finalist in the Oilfield Services Company of the Year category in both the Northeast and Rocky Mountain Regions for the Oil & Gas Awards. Fortis is recognized by the Oil & Gas Award judges in the Corporate Social Responsibility category in each region for their Fortis4Vets hiring initiative.

NewAge Industries Appoints New Director of Quality and Finance Director

NewAge Industries announces the promotions of Mary Marcus and Mary Vander Neut. Marcus is the company’s new Director of Quality, while Vander Neut fills a new position, that of Finance Director. Both have been employed by the company for several years. Marcus is a member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ) and is a Certified Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB). As Director of Quality she is responsible for all aspects of NewAge Industries’ quality program. Her duties apply to NewAge’s industrial plastic and rubber tubing and its AdvantaPure(R) line of high purity tubing and Single-Use components for the pharmaceutical and biopharma industries. She heads a team of nine.

In 2002 Mary Vander Neut began her employment with NewAge Industries as a Sales Representative for its plastic and rubber tubing. Vander Neut was promoted to Finance Director on Jan. 1. She is responsible for the overall continued financial health of the 4A1 D&B rated corporation and manages the Accounting and Human Resources teams.  

Hubbard-Hall Appoints New Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer

Hubbard-Hall announced that Gerry Mastropietro has been appointed as the Chief Operating Officer & Executive Vice President. Gerry will be reporting to Molly Kellogg, President and CEO of Hubbard-Hall. In his role, Mastropietro will be responsible for the company’s operations at all three locations, as well as Environmental Health and Safety and Security, Purchasing and Customer Service. Mastropietro was promoted from the role of Senior Vice President, in which he oversaw sales for the company’s Distribution Division.

ISS Appoints New VP Operations – Marine Outsourcing

Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS) has announced an addition to its Marine Outsourcing team with the appointment of Tony Carter to VP Operations – Marine Outsourcing. Tasked with optimizing the company’s service delivery across the globe, Carter will report to Trond Baade, ISS Senior VP – Marine Outsourcing. Carter has over 30 years’ experience in international port agency and in-depth expertise in developing and managing global businesses in local, regional, trans-regional and worldwide environments.

WAGO Introduces Regional Sales Manager for South Florida

WAGO announced the addition of a Regional Sales Manager to WAGO’s sales team. Carlos Ruiz will be taking the helm as Regional Sales Manager for the South Florida region. Ruiz holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Florida State University and an MBA from the University of Florida. Prior to joining WAGO Ruiz held business development positions at Anixter and Stride Laboratories.

GF Piping Systems and GF Machining Solutions Celebrate New Irvine Facility Grand Opening

Georg Fischer LLC, Irvine, California, and GF Machining Solutions LLC, Lincolnshire, Illinois, both part of Switzerland-based Georg Fischer Ltd., welcomed more than 150 guests including many city and state officials, at the grand opening of their new Irvine facilities.  The 105,000 square-foot Irvine campus includes 23,000 square feet of office, engineering, technical support and training space; 82,000 square feet of manufacturing and warehouse space; and more than 100 employees.  The manufacturing/fabrication area is capable of producing 3,000 different kinds of valves assembled to specific customer requirements and can cut large pipe diameters up to 42” in size. 

Air Monitor Joins Harbour Group Family of Companies

Air Monitor Corporation has joined the Harbour Group family of companies. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Air Monitor has nearly 50 years of experience in providing high-accuracy airflow measurement solutions for control applications in the HVAC, power generation, health care, laboratory and industrial markets. From its headquarters in Santa Rosa, California, the company designs and manufactures differential pressure and thermal mass flow meters, coal flow measurement systems, instrumentation, and related products.

Michael Baker International Acquires Pacific Municipal Consultants

Michael Baker International, a provider of engineering and consulting services, announced it is expanding its West Coast operations with the acquisition of Pacific Municipal Consultants (PMC). A recognized leader in planning, environmental and municipal services, PMC has award-winning expertise in environmental services and customized development projects, and is on the leading edge of climate change and sustainability planning. The firm has a diverse client base, 140 employees and seven offices in key California markets. Headquartered in Rancho Cordova, California, PMC is a privately owned company established in 1995. The firm delivers a  range of capabilities to diverse public and municipal sector clients, including technical staffing for municipalities and public-oriented organizations.

Minnesota Rubber and Plastics Realigns Manufacturing Operations

As part of a global corporate strategy to better position for continued growth while improving delivery and quality, Minnesota Rubber and Plastics recently realigned several of its manufacturing operations. Through a combination of facility upgrades, expansions and consolidations, Minnesota Rubber and Plastics reports it has improved overall efficiencies across the manufacturing group. Recent actions include the expansion of manufacturing in Reynosa, Mexico and Mason City, Iowa, the relocation of processes from the Watertown, South Dakota and Irvine, California facilities and the subsequent closing of those locations. The company says these expansions strengthen Minnesota Rubber and Plastics capabilities within its key customers industries of water, medical & pharma, power and transportation.

Endress+Hauser Builds Regional Customer Support Centre in Edmonton

Endress+Hauser Canada, is constructing a new Regional Customer Support Centre in Edmonton, Alberta. Located at 91st St., Gateway Business Park, in Edmonton, the new 20,000-square-foot facility will provide Endress+Hauser clients in Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan with access to technical support, training and measurement instrumentation. When completed, the $10-million facility will allow Endress+Hauser to centralize inventory, technical expertise and customer service support teams in a western hub to provide customers with local stock, improved delivery times, calibration and other services, as well as hands-on training opportunities for the region.

PIRTEK Celebrates the Opening of its 50th U.S. Location in Milwaukee, WI Area

PIRTEK opened its 50th Hose Service & Supply Center in Menomonee Falls just northwest of Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Feb. 2, 2015. Owner, Tom Fechter brings 17 years of experience in the hydraulic industry to his new business. PIRTEK Menomonee Falls is  located on Lilly Road in Menomonee Falls. The Hose Service & Supply Center will also act as a home base for three on-site mobile hose workshops that are available 24/7.
