Applied Material Solutions Acquires 2 New Subsidiaries
Applied Material Solutions has purchased Performance Process Inc. In Mundelein, Illinois and Nottingham Company, PPI’s Chemicals Division in Atlanta, Georgia. The two companies join Trans-Chemco As Divisions Of Applied Material Solutions. With its custom-formulated defoaming agents and 750,000 gallons of bulk storage, performance, Process Inc. has established itself as one of the top distributors for antifoaming and chemical products in the industry. The company also provides tolling options for many diverse chemistries and products. Nottingham Company Produces treated silica at a new facility for a wide range of markets. In Addition to providing chemical distribution and toll manufacturing, the company also manufactures many types of defoamers for various industries and applications.

Emerson Signs 10-year Agreement with BP for Upstream Oil and Gas Operations
Emerson Process Management will provide automation technologies and aftercare services for BP’s upstream oil and gas operations for the next 10 years. The agreement extends the existing arrangement between the companies, allowing Emerson Process Management, to provide an expanded scope of technologies and services to projects and support BP’s Field of the Future program for enhanced operating efficiency and oil recovery. Harrington Industrial Plastics Opens New Branch in Raleigh, NC
Harrington Industrial Plastics opened its newest branch location in Raleigh, North Carolina, Aug. 3. Harrington has been doing business for over 30 years. This new 13,600-square-foot facility will be stocking the traditional Harrington product offering, as well as High-purity and Stainless steel products for both the Microelectronics and life science industries.

Hoover Container Solutions Opens Service Facility in Brazil
Hoover Container Solutions, a global provider of chemical tanks, cargo carrying units and related products and services, has announced the opening of its new service facility in Brazil. The wash line facility allows Hoover to provide expanded cleaning services while handling all intermediate bulk containers (IBCs), ISO tanks and offshore equipment destined for oil and gas platforms, mining sites, islands and supply bases in the region. The Brazil facility is capable of washing four 5,000 liter containers or four 1,500 liter containers at once with a total cleansing time of 32 and 20 minutes, respectively, per complete cycle—interior, exterior and drying.

Raytek, Ircon, and Datapaq Join Forces to Create Fluke Process Instruments
Fluke Corp. is integrating its Raytek, Ircon, and Datapaq product lines into a new brand: Fluke Process Instruments. All three companies have been part of the Fluke Corporation portfolio for some time.  Fluke Process Instruments General Manager Ankush Malhotra said, “By joining the three companies under a single brand, we can improve our communications and accelerate our product innovation. We are proud of the legacy these brands bring and will continue to grow them as Fluke Process Instruments.”

Raytek, Ircon, and Datapaq branded products include a complete line of rugged and dependable infrared sensors, line scanners, thermal imagers, and temperature profiling systems for use in harsh, high-temperature industrial manufacturing environments. The company has launched a new website, www.flukeprocessinstruments.com, and will operate all related global activities under the new corporate name. 

Schlumberger Announces Agreement to Acquire Cameron
Schlumberger Ltd.  announced an agreement to merge with oilfield company Cameron International, in a combination valued at $14.8 billion. The deal is subject to approval of Cameron shareholders and regulatory sign-off, expecting to close in first quarter of 2016. According to Schlumberger, the merger will create the oil industry’s first integrated drilling and production systems, combining the companies’ complementary downhole and surface drilling technologies. Paal Kibsgaard, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Schlumberger said, “We believe that the next industry technical breakthrough will be achieved through integration of Schlumberger’s reservoir and well technologies with Cameron’s leadership in surface, drilling, processing and flow control technologies. Deep reservoir knowledge further enabled by instrumentation, software and automation, will launch a new era of complete drilling and production system performance.”

TASI Acquires Wireless Network Manufacturer SignalFire Telemetry
TASI HOLDINGS INC.
 has completed the acquisition of all shares of SignalFire Telemetry, located in Hudson, Massachusetts.  This new acquisition is strategic to the growth model of TASI, and adds a new wireless communication component to TASI’s global FLOW division. Founded in 2006, SignalFire designs and manufactures specialized wireless mesh networking systems for uses in challenging and hazardous locations. The majority of the company’s products are wireless sensor networks deployed in upstream oil and gas fields. TASI Flow’s flow instrumentation brands consist of TRICOR Coriolis, AW Gear Meters, KEM-Küppers, Litre Meter, and Vögtlin Thermal Mass Flow Meters and Controllers. TASI Flow serves companies globally in oil & gas, industrial manufacturing, chemical processing, hydraulic, and automotive.

Protective Industrial Products Expands Domestic Manufacturing Facility
Protective Industrial Products, Inc. (PIP) has recently broken ground on a multimillion dollar expansion of its PRI Industries, Inc. (PRI) manufacturing facility in Chaska, Minnesota. The addition will double the amount of manufacturing space and allow the installation of new equipment that has been acquired over the last year. This expansion will allow the PRI facility to support demand for domestically produced, high-performance protective products. PRI manufactures  high performance knit gloves and sleeves that protect workers in the automotive, aerospace, construction, food processing, and metal fabrication industries. With the increase in production, PIP expects to add at least 10 new positions at the PRI plant over the next few years. The expansion and new capacities are targeted to be operational by the end of the year. Protective Industrial Products, Inc.  owns three domestic manufacturing facilities making personal protective products in the United States.

Emerald Kalama Chemical Appoints Post K-FLEX Business Director, Americas
Emerald Kalama Chemical, a business group of Emerald Performance Materials, has appointed Eric Post to the position of K-FLEX business director, Americas. Post will be responsible for the optimization and growth of the K-FLEX line of low-VOC, non-phthalate plasticizers and coalescents in the Americas region, including planning and implementing strategic business plans, building relationships with customers and identifying new market opportunities. Post has more than 20 years of experience in the specialty chemicals industry, serving in technical, sales management and business development roles.

Empowering Pumps Appoints Moore as VP of Sales & Marketing
Empowering Pumps, an information and connection hub for the global pump industry, announced the appointment of Stewart Moore as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. In this capacity, Moore will assist the growing firms’ marketing program for industrial pumps and valves manufacturers. Moore holds a master’s degree in Sales and Marketing from the University of Alabama.

ESCO Names Steve Dyer as Company’s New President
Equipment Supply Company, dba ESCO, has named Steve Dyer as president effective immediately. As president, Dyer will have the responsibility of working with and building relationships with ESCO’s  customer base worldwide, while working with ESCO’s sales and customer service staff to manage day-to-day sales activities.

Greene’s Energy Group Names Michael Hayes as VP and GM of Pressure Testing and Services
Greene’s Energy Group, LLC, a provider of integrated testing, rentals and specialty services, has named Michael "Mike" Hayes as Vice President and General Manager of Pressure Testing and Services (PTS) and the Engineering Group. Based in Houston, Hayes will be responsible for implementing corporate initiatives and business strategies relating to the operations of the PTS product service line. PTS has 11 locations covering both U.S. land and offshore markets. PTS performs drilling, completion and production pressure testing services along with associated stacking and torqueing of wellhead equipment and gathering system pipelines. PTS also includes Cherokee Pumping Services & Rentals and Nitrogen Services.

Ingersoll Rand Acquires Assets of Air Center of Mississippi
Ingersoll-Rand completed the acquisition of the assets of Air Center of Mississippi on Aug. 1, 2015. The Air Center of Mississippi is a distributor that provides compressed air equipment, parts and services for industrial and manufacturing applications; the company generated sales of approximately $2 million in 2014. Based in Jackson, Mississippi, the Air Center of Mississippi has four employees and sells compressed air equipment, parts and services in 37 counties in the state.

Labrum Steps Up to CEO for Juniper Systems
Rugged handheld computer manufacturer, Juniper Systems, is seeing a change in leadership as its current President and CEO, Rob Campbell, is stepping aside after 14 years at the company’s head, to accept a position as President of Campbell Scientific, Inc., Juniper Systems’ parent company, a manufacturer of precision measurement and control products. DeVon Labrum, who has served as Juniper Systems’ Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the past four years, will be taking Campbell’s place as Juniper Systems’ new CEO, beginning Sept. 1, 2015. Labrum has been with Juniper Systems for nearly 18 years, including serving several years on the Board of Directors.

Litre Meter Hires 2 New In-House Engineers
UK flowmeter specialist Litre Meter has made two new appointments to further strengthen its in-house engineering capabilities. Daniel Grant joins the Buckingham-based business as a production engineer while Filip Nevezi joins as an electronics engineer. Grant is an apprentice-trained engineer with a first-class honors degree in engineering. He brings with him a broad range of skills and experience gained from working in the automotive industry. Nevezi has studied for four years at the Kosice Electro-technical school in Slovakia and has a bachelor of arts in Business Studies and Organization Behavior from the University of Bedfordshire.

Reterro Appoints Deal President, Chief Commercial Officer
John Deal, Jr.
, has joined Reterro, Inc., an emerging green remediation leader in eliminating hydrocarbon contamination from soil and ongoing waste streams, as President and Chief Commercial Officer. Deal brings three decades of experience in environmental management, consulting, engineering and remediation to Reterro. His background includes high-level work with state and federal regulatory agencies, the private sector and both investigation and remediation of nonhazardous and hazardous waste sites.

Bedrock Automation Receives Frost & Sullivan 2015 Best Practices Award
Bedrock Automation has been named Frost & Sullivan’s North American Industrial Control System Entrepreneurial Company of the Year. Bedrock received this award as recognition for bringing to market one of the most significant industrial control system advances in the past 15 years. "Frost & Sullivan’s independent analysis of the Industrial Controls Systems market clearly shows Bedrock Automation has designed and developed a superior system that is secure by design; promises to optimize cost, performance and ensure security; and is suitable for a variety of industrial applications and plant sizes. The system is truly simple, scalable and secure," said Piyush Dewangan, industry analyst at Frost & Sullivan.

Dwyer Instruments, Inc. was recognized for excellence in product design in the 12th annual Dealer Design Awards Program sponsored by The Air Conditioning Heating & Refrigeration News magazine. An independent panel of contractors acted as judges in the contest that had 107 entries. The company’s Model UHH2 Universal Handheld Test Instrument was the Silver Award Winner in the Testing and Monitoring product category.

FMC Technologies to Receive ‘Spotlight on New Technology’ Award at OTC Brazil

The 2015 Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) Brazil, Oct. 27–29 in Rio de Janeiro, announced the inaugural Spotlight on New Technology Award to be presented to FMC Technologies. According to OTC Brasil Spotlight Committee Chair Steve Balint, the Spotlight on New Technology  Award “recognizes the extraordinary inventiveness occurring in the E&P industry which furthers development of offshore resources in safer and more efficient ways." FMC Technologies receives the award for producing its Shape Memory Alloy Fittings for Subsea Equipment.

Mouvex Celebrates 50th Anniversary of Manufacturing A Series Eccentric Disc Pumps
Mouvex, part of PSG, a Dover company and a manufacturer of positive displacement pumps, is celebrating its 50th anniversary of manufacturing A Series Eccentric Disc Pumps in 2015. Since 1965, A Series pumps have been manufactured, assembled and shipped from the PSG Auxerre, France facility. Over the past 50 years, A Series pumps, of which thousands are operating worldwide, have been known for their reliability, durability and cost effectiveness, and have earned a reputation as the ideal pumping technology for some of the harshest applications in the world, Mouvex says.

Citing its ability to develop innovative solutions and provide extensive support to commission new factory lines, Nestlé USA awarded Rockwell Automation its 2014 North America Procurement Supplier of the Year award for technical procurement – maintenance, repair and operations (MRO).

Spiroflow Doubles Up on UK ‘Company of the Year’ Awards
Spiroflow Ltd has won two ‘Company of the Year’ awards, adding the UK-based Food Processing magazine accolade in June to the prestigious UK SHAPA (Solids Handling and Processing Association) Company of the Year Award presented in April. The SHAPA title is given to the UK organization that has achieved the most by promoting best practices, setting aspirational industry standards and increasing sales. The company is widely known for their custom powder handling equipment and company growth has allowed for important investments in infrastructure, namely IT, Health and Safety, training, and additional staff.

Xylem Inc. Hosts Built in the USA Employee Celebration Event
On Aug. 11, 2015, more than 300 Xylem employees celebrated their pride in American production at the Xylem Goulds Water Technology’s Auburn and Seneca Falls, New York Xylem facilities. Senior leaders acknowledged employees for their work to support the company’s Built in the USA product lines. The Auburn facility produces and hand-assembles nearly 2,500 Goulds Water Technology residential and wastewater pumps each day.

Aspire Receives $20,000 Donation from the Inpro/Seal Family
The 28th annual Inpro/Seal VIP Charity Golf Tournament raised $20,000 for Aspire, a Midwest non-profit that provides services to children and adults with developmental disabilities. Ninety-seven Inpro/Seal customers, vendors and employees attended the VIP Charity Golf Tournament Monday, Aug. 10 to raise money and build awareness for this local cause. The $20,000 donation was supported in part through a new matching grant initiative by the philanthropic arm of Inpro/Seal’s parent company, Dover Corporation. The Dover Foundation helps to support not-for-profit organizations, causes and/or projects that benefit the local communities in which its operating companies are located. The Inpro/Seal family contributed to the cause through charitable giving, sponsorships and on-site events. Inpro/Seal has partnered with Aspire for the last four VIP Charity Golf Tournaments, raising more than $50,000 to support the non-profit’s enterprises, including Aspire Kids, Aspire Careers and Aspire Living.
