Emerson Process Management”sCSI 9420 is a wirelessvibration transmitter designed for monitoring rotating equipment and delivering predictive diagnostics for improvedreliability and plant safety.  As a component of Emerson’s SmartWireless solutions, the industrial transmitter connects to any machine.Through the PlantWeb digital plant architecture, the transmitterdelivers vibration information over a wireless self-organizing networkfor use by operations and maintenance personnel.  Configuration,diagnostics, and alerts from the wireless vibration transmitter areavailable in Emerson”s AMS Suite predictive maintenance software.Vibration data is also available in data historians or any controlsystem for trending and analysis with other process parameters. In addition to measuring overall vibration, the CSI 9420 transmitterincludes PeakVue technology for advanced bearing diagnostics. Emerson’sSmart Wireless solutions are designed to extend the PlantWebarchitecture to deliver new information access and mobility forimproved decision-making and plant performance.  The SmartWireless field solutions integrate smart monitoring instrumentswirelessly in a self-organizing mesh network that delivers greater than99.9 percent reliability by automatically adapting as devices are addedor removed, or obstructions encountered. Smart Wireless products aresupported by Emerson’s guarantee of an easy migration path to industrystandards and full compliance with WirelessHART standard.  Thewireless vibration transmitter will be available for shipment in early2008.
