Manufacturing Executive, the global community for manufacturing leadership and producer of the Manufacturing Leadership Summit and Awards program, announced today that nominations are open for the 2012 Manufacturing Leadership 100 (ML100) Awards.

The awards, established seven years ago as the Progressive Manufacturing 100 Awards, honor transformational business projects, innovation, and excellence in a variety of categories including customer relationships, operations, and the use of advanced technologies.

Manufacturing Executive also announced an expansion of the ML100 program to include four new individual leadership achievement awards spanning entrepreneurship, next-generation leadership and culture, turnaround success, and industry advocacy.

ML100 Awards nominations will remain open until Nov. 18, 2011. Award nominations are reviewed, and winners are selected by a panel of expert judges from the industry.

Manufacturers and their partners can submit nominations in the following categories:

• Sustainability Award
• New Workforce Award
• Game-Changing Technologies Award
• Information Leadership Award
• Innovative Enterprise Award
• Operational Excellence Award

2012 Individual Achievement Award Categories
• Manufacturing Entrepreneur Award
• Next-Generation Leadership and Culture Award
• Turnaround Award
• Advocacy Award

All ML100 Award winners will be honored at a gala dinner and reception during the Manufacturing Leadership Summit, April 30–May 2, 2012, in Palm Beach, Fla.

Past award honorees include Ford Motor Co., Raytheon, General Electric, Mosaic, Coca-Cola, IBM, General Motors, L”Oreal USA, Boeing, and Motorola.
