The Mary Kay O’Connor Process Safety Center’s 18th Annual International Symposium, in association with IChemE, will be held Oct. 27-29, in College Station, Texas.
This year’s theme is "Beyond Regulatory Compliance, Making Safety Second Nature." Nearly 100 talks will be presented on process industry critical issues, research and topics, including operational discipline, reactive chemicals, risk assessment, safety management, consequence analysis, and inherent safety. The symposium will also feature an exhibit area where products, technology and software related to process safety will be on display.
The Assistant Secretary of Labor for OSHA, David Michaels, will present the Frank P. Lees Memorial Lecture on Oct. 27, and Dr. Ian Cameron, professor at the University of Queensland, will present the keynote lecture on Oct. 28.
The symposium will be held at the Hilton Conference Center in College Station, home to Texas A&M University, where The Mary Kay O’Connor Process Safety Center operates.
The symposium is held in collaboration with the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE). Sponsors of the symposium include GexCon US, Siemens, Assero Resources and Petrotechnics.
Early registration rates end Sept.30. More information is available on the symposium website.
