Sierra Instruments is featuring a live demonstration of its Smart-Trak 2 mass flow controller, coupled with Compod, at the Pittcon Expo in Orlando, Florida, this week. A recent recipient of the 2009 Flow Control Innovations Award, Sierra’s new Smart-Trak features unique intelligence for digital mass flow measurement and control.
Smart-Trak 2 is designed to independently adjust calibration in the field for any of the 10 pre-programmed Dial-A-Gas gases. The device”s Pilot Module control/readout interface allows users to view and adjust critical control functions at any time.
The Compod option is designed to make the Smart-Trak 2 a fully network-enabled, multi-drop RS-485 / Modbus RTU device, thus automating complex gas processes like gas mixing, gas ratio control, batch control, leak testing and process monitoring.
