Emerson Process Management”s released a stainless steel housing option and Hastelloy C wetside sensor option for its Mobrey Squing 2 vibrating, short-fork level sensor. Both options are designed to increase resistance to corrosion and chemical attack in aggressive offshore, chemical, and petrochemical environments. The stainless steel housing is ATEX flameproof, FM explosion-proof, and safe-area approved. The Hastelloy sensor is a good fit for detection of hostile liquids such as bleaches, chlorines, acids, fluorides, and fuel oils. The new versions of Squing 2 are available with a choice of threads and flanges and feature a visible heart-beat LED, which flashes continuously to give perpetual indication of state, as well as confirmation that the sensor is operational.
