Lamons Gasket Company will soon be home to the world’s largest hand-painted flag when artist, Scott LoBaido, paints the American flag on the rooftop of the company”s world headquarters’

Lamons Gasket Company will soon be home to the world’s largest hand-painted flag when artist, Scott LoBaido, paints the American flag on the rooftop of the company”s world headquarters’ and manufacturing facility in Houston, Texas. (See digital rendering pictured here. Courtesy of www.scottlobaido.com.) The building was selected because of its nearly 200,000 sq.ft. roof size, a close proximity to William P. Hobby Airport, and the patriotic pride and spirit of the company and its employees. The project will begin on Flag Day (June 14th) and will be revealed in its completed form on July 4th 2010. The finished product will be approximately 150,000 square feet (3.5 acres). LoBaido has been featured on high profile programs, such as CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360,” FOX’s “Bill O’Reilly Show” and was named "Person of the Week" on ABC’s “World News Tonight” with Charlie Gibson. He currently is featured in the newly released documentary "The Color Bearers…Stories of American Patriotism."There will be a webcam documenting the progress of the project at www.lamons.com and www.scottlobaido.com. Lamons produces and distributes metallic and nonmetallic industrial gaskets and complementary fasteners for petroleum refining, petrochemical and other industrial uses in the United States, Canada, Europe and The Far East regions.
