Rheonik Messtechnik GmbH Buys Coriolis Flowmeter Line from GE

Coriolis flowmeter manufacturer Rheonik Messtechnik GmbH (RMT) has assumed the assets and business of the Rheonik operating unit of GE Measurement and Control.

Coriolis flowmeter manufacturer Rheonik Messtechnik GmbH (RMT) has assumed the assets and business of the Rheonik operating unit of GE Measurement and Control. RMT was formed through a management buyout process and the transfer of the business is now complete. GE Measurement acquired the rights to Rheonik’s Coriolis flowmeter line in 2008.

Germany’s Rheonik Messtechnik GmbH is now manufacturing and supporting the Rheonik brand of Coriolis flowmeters worldwide.

RMT and GE have agreed to continue to collaborate on the science and design of Coriolis flowmeters.

RMT has established a North American office to service and support existing and new customers in the Americas and will be establishing additional offices in other regions in the near future. Manufacturing and Engineering will remain in the existing Odelzhausen/Munich facility.

Rheonik Messtechnik GmbH is credited as being the first company to produce large-line and high-pressure Coriolis flow measurement devices.
