The Lee Company”s Injection Manifold Mount System enables the precise injection of a fluid into a flow stream. It is the latest addition to the company’s range of miniature components, allowing any ported Lee VHS (Very High Speed) micro-dispense solenoid valve to be mounted so that the outlet port is in close proximity to the flow stream. This provides minimal captive capillary volume and increased injected volume repeatability. The mounting system is a good fit for laboratory, biomedical and chemistry applications, and particularly for flow injection analyzers (FIA). The system features a captive capillary volume of 0.5µL and pressures up to 120 PSI. Teflon (ferrule) is the only additional wetted material, since the mounting nut and pressure plate do not contact the fluid. The manifolds are available in one, two, three and four-place standard configurations. For greater flexibility, and to enable future expansion, boss plugs are available to effectively seal any unused valve ports in the manifold. Valves and plugs can be installed and removed repeatedly as required and the valves can be rotated after installation without compromising the seal.
