The Hydraulic Institute (HI, www.pumps.org) and the Technical Association of Pulp and Paper Industry (TAPPI, www.tappi.org) have entered into a partnership to provide their memberships with a direct link to purchase pump standards specific to pumps installed or required in the pulp and paper industry.

Pulp and paper mills are pump-intensive facilities, with an average of 150 pumps per pulp mill and 50 pumps per paper mill, according to the Hydraulic Institute.

As such, the Hydraulic Institute has created a customized page on its Web site to simplify the process of locating and purchasing the standards that are most valuable for pump professionals in the pulp and paper industry. A table of contents of the recommended standards can be viewed at www.pumps.org/TAPPI.
