EMCO Flow Systems (www.emcoflow.com), a Division of Spirax Sarco Inc. (www.spirax.com), is seeking a candidate for a regional manager”s position in its Gulf Coast territory. EMCO Flow Systems is a provider of flowmeters for the energy and municipal markets. Spirax Sarco is a provider of steam system solutions.

Position Summary:
To manage, develop, and promote sales activities of EMCO Independent Manufacturers Representatives in EMCO’s Gulf Coast region. To execute strategic sales plans developed by EMCO Flow Systems. To optimize territory sales effectiveness, identify and sign-on new reps or develop existing reps.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
• Manage EMCO reps in attaining maximum sales volume from their potential markets and in meeting the goals of the company.
• Develops sales strategies for your region and execute those strategies.
• Ensure your region meets established sales quotas.
• Monitor competitive activity and trends within your region.
• Identifie potential customers and leverage your reps with these accounts.
• Work with Spirax sales management as appropriate based on EMCO and Spirax combined sales strategies.
• Establish and maintain relationships with OEM’s, Spirax Sales, and customers.
• Train/motivate sales representatives in selling techniques to enhance sales abilities.
• Monitor sales representatives’ performance.
• Visit customers’ facilities to evaluate needs.
• Ensure that your reps provide customers with accurate quotations.
• Expedite customers’ orders when necessary.
• Follow up to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Provide technical support to sales representatives, end users, consulting engineering firms, and SSI/ESD sales.
• Serve as a company representative at Trade shows.
• Provide monthly, quarterly and year-end reports.
• Stay abreast of technical trends (steam systems) by attending training programs and reading periodicals.
• Travel at 40%

Education/Experience/Skills:
• BS degree in engineering or related field, plus 10 years experience in sales and sales management or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5-10 years experience in flowmetering or related field.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to communicate and reason with people from a diverse backgrounds.
• Good organization abilities are needed.
• Must be computer literate. (Microsoft products including Word, Excel, Power Point)
