GF Piping Systems launched an interactive System Selection Tool and Application Library for its Signet product line at www.gfsignet.com. The Web-based program enables design engineers, customers, and distributors to specify appropriate products and accessories for specific applications. Using the tool, engineers can obtain a complete list of products with part numbers. The list can be printed for reference or e-mailed for ordering. Additional details are available via links to product data sheets and operation manuals.

The tool covers the full range of GF Piping’s Signet flow sensors, fittings, and flow instrumentation, as well as pH, ORP, conductivity, resistivity, temperature, and pressure instruments. It guides the user through a series of questions and options for sensor type, pipe size, material type, fluid, flow, temperature, and pressure, allowing the system to narrow the product choices and make it easy to choose compatible products. A cross-comparison chart can be used during the process to assist the customer in narrowing the selection.

The tool”s Application Library features a tutorial-style data bank with applications and processes suited for Signet products. The library provides an introduction to system applications, schematics, technical information, and technical articles on specific industries. Articles can be searched for by technology type or by application type for easy navigation and location of information.

Plans are in the works to expand the selection tool to include GF Piping’s control valve product line. The library will also be expanded to cover additional market segments.
