Wright Pump’s TRA400centrifugal pumps are available in five models in both voluteand nonvolute styles. Each pump is machined from 316L stainless steelor other high-quality alloy bar and plates, eliminating the problemsassociated with traditional castings, such as cracks, pits, shrink, andhigh-ferrite content that may cause rouging in pure-water systems. Thepumps’ Softsterile flushing system (patentpending) for double-seal applications eliminates thedifficult-to-inspectexternal piping common to high-purity centrifugal pumps. There is noneed for multipleconnections, gaskets, elbows, bent tubes, and/or compression fittings, whichcan be sources of contamination, misalignment, and gasket extrusion. Aunique diaphragm valve body, which is machined directly into itscasing, eliminates “dead leg” conditions common to centrifugal pumps. The valve bodypermits a flush-face fit with the pumps’ interior contour, allowing thediaphragm to be swept continuously with product during operation toachieve zero dead-leg casing drain. The patent-pending drains are _” in diameter; larger sizes are available uponrequest. In addition, all models include stainless steel flangeadapters and are shipped with comprehensive material certification andtesting documentation for installation qualification. The pumps support flow capacities up to 320 GPM with pressuresas great as 190 PSI at viscosities to 2700 SSU withtemperatures to 380 F.
