The Lee Company”sInjection Manifold Mount System enables the precise injection of afluid into a flow stream. It is the latest addition to the company’srange of miniature components, allowing any ported Lee VHS (Very HighSpeed) micro-dispense solenoid valve to be mounted so that the outletport is in close proximity to the flow stream. This provides minimalcaptive capillary volume and increased injected volume repeatability. The mounting system is a good fit for laboratory, biomedical andchemistry applications, and particularly for flow injection analyzers(FIA). The system features a captive capillary volume of 0.5µL andpressures up to 120 PSI. Teflon (ferrule) is the only additionalwetted material, since the mounting nut and pressure plate do notcontact the fluid. The manifolds are available in one, two, three andfour-place standard configurations. For greater flexibility, andto enable future expansion, boss plugs are available to effectivelyseal any unused valve ports in the manifold. Valves and plugs can beinstalled and removed repeatedly as required and the valves can berotated after installation without compromising the seal.
