Flow Control is pleased to announce the promotion of Matt Migliore from Editor-in-Chief to Executive Director of Content and the hiring of a new Managing Editor, Amy W. Richardson. Together, these appointments show Flow Control”s strong commitment to growing its print, Web, e-media, and events platforms going forward.

Matt Migliore has served as Editor-in-Chief of Flow Control magazine and its companion website FlowControlNetwork.com since Oct. 2003. In his new role as Executive Director of Content, Matt will continue to manage all aspects of content delivery for Flow Control magazine, FlowControlNetwork.com, and Flow Control Events, while also working with Flow Control publishers, John Harris and Michael Christian, to identify, develop, launch, and grow new content products and events programming.

“Matt has been the heart and soul of Flow Control magazine’s award-winning content for almost 10 years,” says John Harris, publisher of Flow Control”s integrated media platform. “As a result, Flow Control has earned a reputation as a valuable resource for fluid handling systems design engineers and fluid handling product and service providers, attracting the sort of readers that generate quality leads for advertisers, enabling Flow Control to be a sellable product and a successful profit center for Grand View Media Group.”

As part of his new role, Matt will also take a leadership role in growing Flow Control”s Pump Guy Seminar and In-Plant Training program. Matt has been working to successfully grow Flow Control”s Pump Guy Seminar Series since its launch in Nov. 2007, and he will continue to work to expand the audience for this unique training program, which is presented by Larry Bachus (a.k.a. “Pump Guy”), a regular Flow Control columnist and world-renowned expert on pumping systems.

Amy W. Richardson comes to Flow Control with a strong background in newspaper and magazine publishing. She has more than seven years experience in publishing and communications, with significant experience in both print and online environments. Prior to her positions as a reporter and copyeditor, Amy earned her bachelor’s degree in communication studies from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) where she served as features editor of the college newspaper and was honored as “Outstanding Student in Journalism.”

As Managing Editor of Flow Control magazine and its companion website FlowControlNetwork.com, Amy will work with Matt to continue to strive for excellence in the delivery of Flow Control”s editorial content in print, digital and social media environments. Amy”s responsibilities will include writing, editing, and ongoing development of Flow Control”s print and online content strategy.

“I’m thrilled that Amy is a part of the Flow Control team and the Grand View Media Group family,” says Harris, “and I look forward to the energy and commitment Amy will bring to Flow Control magazine and our related Web and e-media products.”
