Fenner Advanced Sealing Technologies (FAST, www.fenner.com) broke ground on a new facility and manufacturing plant for its recently acquired EGC Plastics (www.egcplastics.com) unit. The new buildings will be built on the grounds of one of Fenner’s other units, CDI Seals (www.cdiseals.com), in Humble, Texas.

EGC Plastics was acquired on Oct. 1, 2006, by Fenner through its wholly owned subsidiary CDI Seals. The new facility is expected to afford CDI Seals and EGC Plastics modern working conditions, the ability to maintain and expand new product ranges, as well as improved efficiency via an integrated manufacturing environment. EGC Plastics offers materials expertise in high value performance critical applications in the electronics, pumps, valves and compressors, aerospace, semiconductor, and oil and gas industries.

The future buildings will feature 150,000 square foot of manufacturing facility and new offices. FAST, along with HJV Development, has contracted Ewing Construction Co., Inc. to design and build the facilities.
