Emerson Process Management opened a new $25 million facility in McKinney, Texas, which will serve as the global headquarters for its Regulator Technologies division. The facility will support design, testing, and manufacturing of Emerson pressure regulator and relief valve solutions.
The facility features a flow lab capable of testing regulator products in extreme conditions, as well as various materials and environmental laboratories.
The new facility is one of several recent Emerson investments in Texas, including a $34 million Emerson Industry Center for Hydrocarbon and Energy and $30 million Americas headquarters for Valve Automation Technologies, both in Houston, as well as a $25 million Austin complex for the company’s Process Systems and Solutions business.
"Emerson has been a long-time community partner in McKinney, and we are looking forward to begin this exciting new chapter here," said Randy Page, president of Emerson Process Management’s Regulator Technologies business. "The city of McKinney offers a talented, skilled workforce, a strong educational system that attracts professionals and their families, and leaders who support companies like Emerson that want to do business here."
The three-story, 128,000-square-foot headquarters includes offices, a customer training center, and a fitness center for approximately 140 professional employees in engineering, research and development, marketing, sales, finance, and procurement.
