OPW Engineered Systems’ Drylok Dry Disconnect Coupler is a good fit for hazardous fluids where product loss is a problem, such as high-pressure lines, high flowrates, slurries, and gases. The coupler is designed to provide safety during the transfer of hazardous, corrosive and volatile liquids, such as acids, solvents, and petrochemicals. Featuring an interlocking handle, the coupler averts accidental spills by preventing uncoupling while the valve is open. In addition, its flat face minimizes fluid loss, further reducing exposure to risk during operation. The coupler features a dry disconnect with less than 1-cc of fluid loss from a 3-inch unit. It can be opened and closed against 150 PSI maximum head pressure. A simple lever action connects valve to coupler and opens and closes the flow. The dry-disconnect coupler meets or exceeds emission and worker safety requirements set by the EPA, OSHA, and others. The couplers are available in 1-inch, 2-inch and 3-inch sizes and are manufactured from a range of materials, including 316 stainless steel, Alloy 20, or Hastelloy C with NPT, BSP, ASME Flanged, BW and SW end connections. The couplers have also been manufactured with an adjustable packing nut with V-type material that provides a continuous compression, an emission-free seal on the handle shaft and a standard o-ring seal for longevity. – opw-es.com
