ASCO Numatics Announces 2013 Industrial Automation Engineering Scholarships

April 4, 2013

ASCO Numatics will award two $5,000 engineering scholarships to U.S. students and provide two $1,000 grants to the engineering departments of the colleges at which the winners are enrolled.

ASCO Numatics is now accepting applications for its 2013-2014 ASCO Numatics Industrial Automation Engineering Scholarship program.

Under the program, ASCO Numatics will award two $5,000 engineering scholarships to U.S. students, provide two $1,000 grants to the engineering departments of the colleges at which the winners are enrolled, and host the two winners as all-expense paid guests at The Amazing Packaging Race at PACK EXPO International 2013 on Sept. 25, 2013, in Las Vegas.

Since its inception in 2008, ASCO Numatics’ engineering scholarships program has awarded a total of $50,000 in engineering scholarships to 10 students pursuing careers in industrial automation-related disciplines, and provided a total of $10,000 in grants to eight schools of engineering.

The ASCO Numatics engineering scholarships are merit-based and will be awarded on the candidate’s potential for leadership and for making a significant contribution to the industrial automation engineering profession, particularly as it relates to the application of fluid control and fluid power technologies. A panel of ASCO Numatics executives and independent judges will select the finalists.

Applicants must be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or graduate program in an instrumentation, systems, electrical, mechanical, or automation engineering discipline at an accredited U.S. educational institution for the 2013-2014 academic year. Candidates must also maintain at least a 3.2 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale, and be a U.S. citizen or legal U.S. resident.

The deadline to apply for this year’s engineering scholarships is May 24, 2013. Details and forms are available at: www.asconumatics.com/scholarship.
