Heavy machinery ruptured a 24-inch natural gas line that exploded into flames at a construction site in San Antonio this week, according to a report by Firehouse.com (www.firehouse.com).

Quoting San Antonio Fire Chief Charles Hood, Firehouse.com reported that natural gas was shooting out of a main at a rate of 800 psi per second following the accident. A car parked outside a CVS Pharmacy was burnt and the pharmacy’s sign melted, but no injuries were reported.
