BinMaster’s new PT-500 submersible pressure sensor calculates level based upon the amount of pressure being exerted on the sensor from the liquid above it. It can be used in a wide range of liquids including water, wastewater and a variety of chemicals. It is Class 1, Division 1 certified and intrinsically safe for use in hazardous environments. As it has a low current draw, the pressure sensor can be used in remote locations and for battery-powered applications. Made of 316L stainless steel, the submersible pressure sensor is compatible with many liquids and chemicals. BinMaster offers a variety of rugged housings and cables to ensure the sensor will operate reliably and have a long product life in its operational environment. Lightning protection is built into the sensor, eliminating the need for a separate surge protector. This reduces overall equipment investment and the need to replace sensors due to power surges that may damage the sensors.
