Electric's Lexium 32 servo drive range features simplified wiring by placing all connections either at the front or
the top, incorporating removable color-coded connectors, adding an
on-board HMI, and using motors with straight, angled and rotatable
connectors to accommodate any orientation. Three auto-tuning wizards
also help users to customize the system based on their level of
expertise (novice to advanced). The drives support new or existing
architectures, regardless of supplier, by incorporating support for a
variety of standardized hardware and software motion interfaces.
Communication modules include CANopen/CANmotion, DeviceNet, PROFIBUS DP
and Ethernet/IP. Analog and digital feedback options include Resolver,
EnDat 2.1/2.2, Hiperface, Hall A/B/I, SSI, and BiSS. With an optional
memory card, users can parameterize or clone servo drives without a PC. A built-in “Safe Torque Off" (STO) function, per IEC/EN 61800-5-2,
prevents motor operation while retaining AC input power. The STO
function helps minimize downtime and provides faster restarts after
incidents like emergency stops and normal operator access intervention.
Machine operation can be restored quickly, without the need to reboot
the drives or re-home the machine. An optional enhanced safety
module, eSM, provides additional safety interlock functions, compliant
with IEC/EN 61800-5-2.
