Noncontact Infrared Temperature Sensors

Raytek’s MI3 infrared temperature sensors are designed for continuous noncontact temperature monitoring for a range of OEM applications and manufacturing processes. The MI3 infrared pyrometer is a two-piece system with a miniature sensing head and separate communications electronics. The miniature sensing head can be installed in any system and can outperform much larger sensors. The OEMMI3 version allows direct digital communication with the host machine controller without the need for an additional communication box. The multiple sensing head interface, which can support up to eight individually addressable heads per communication box, is designed to reduce sensor cost, simplify sensor installation and applications troubleshooting, and provide low cost per measurement point. The MI3 is also available in a DIN rail-mountable package standard with USB digital communications, as well as RS485, Profibus, and Modbus options.
