Curtiss-Wright, Chalmers & Kubeck Sign Nuclear Services Alliance

Curtiss-Wright Flow Control Company announced its business unit Enertech and Chalmers & Kubeck Inc. have signed an exclusive agreement to collaborate in providing integrated services and life-cycle management of specialized, critical components to the nuclear power industry.

Under the terms of the agreement, Enertech will focus on sales and marketing for Chalmers & Kubeck's service, repair and machining capabilities. In addition, the alliance is intended to leverage Enertech's nuclear quality assurance program for components in safety-related applications. Enertech's nuclear service offerings on major plant components include: shop and field repair, refurbishment, machining, welding, diagnostics, and troubleshooting; upgrades and retrofits; mobile resources; plant modernization and extended power uprate support; and inventory optimization programs for nuclear power plants and other facilities performing nuclear-related activities.

"Our partnership with Chalmers & Kubeck immediately broadens our component services offering and aftermarket responsiveness for valves and actuation, pumps, gear boxes, and other rotating equipment to our valued customers in the North American nuclear market," said David Linton, president, Curtiss-Wright Flow Control Company and co-chief operating officer, Curtiss-Wright Corporation, in a prepared statement.
